the good thing to TV is that it is a source of information, its a place to find entertainment and is like a catalyst for children and parents. by this i mean that parents and children alike can learn from TV. say for example: TV program companies have created programs like fireman Sam. fireman Sam can help a child by teaching him or her the dangers of fire and how they can be caused like putting too many plugs into a socket extension or never cook in a forest. as for the size and cost of TV it all depends on a few things:
- what does it do that differs from other TV sets.
- has it got the most up to date technology (3D, HD and laptop/computer connectivity).
- is it the right size for you.
the bad points to TV is that people in the past have become so addicted to it that they have become fat and lost all the skills like getting up and getting a drink or going to get some exercise. another bad point to it is that children in particular are getting TV in their bedrooms. fact: the BBC did a survey with 1,300 families with children and the results show that 7 out of 10 children have a TV in their bedrooms.
that last fact leads on to the social effect of TV and is it controlling us. in my opinion i believe it is controlling us and stopping us form seeing our good old friends because it plays programs that make us want to watch it and in turn make us interested... and then addicted.
